Features:

A voltage tester, also known as a voltage tester, a voltage tester, or a neon tube tester, is a safety tool used to detect whether a circuit is electrified. Its working principle is mainly to use the characteristics of electric current to discharge and emit light through neon gas to determine whether the voltage exists.

A voltage tester usually consists of a handle made of insulating material and a metal probe on the front end, which contains a neon bubble or other type of indicator light and a resistive element. When the user touches the voltage tester with a conductor that may be charged, if there is voltage in the circuit, the current will pass through the resistance of the human body, the internal resistance of the voltage tester to the neon bubble, and when the current reaches a certain value, the neon bubble will emit a red light to show that the point is charged.

When using a voltage tester, you need to pay attention to the following points:1. The gesture of holding the voltage tester should be correct, and generally use your fingers to touch the metal part of the tail of the voltage tester to provide a current loop. 2. Before measuring, confirm that the voltage tester is in good working condition and that the neon bubble can emit light normally. 3. It can only be used for the detection of AC low-voltage circuits (such as household electricity), and for high-voltage lines, special high-voltage electroscopes are required. 4. Although the voltage tester has a certain safety design, it still needs to be operated with caution and try to avoid directly touching the bare wire.
